Yahoo! Meme VS Twitter

Yahoo launches an English version of Meme (another microblogging site like Twitter and Tumblr) after a soft launch in Spanish and Portuguese languages. It seems like another competitor to Twitter and Tumblr from the look of its features provided in Meme.

Meme is currently recruiting members on an invitation mode. You can register at http://meme.yahoo.com/. Meme also provides username based URL like http://meme.yahoo.com/your_name.

This is what Meme would offer when your account is created:
1. You are off with an empty blog to fill with text, images, videos, music or all at once.

2. A side panel with you avatar, a 100-characters description and notifications.
3. Page layout can be customised with Themes.
4. Search and Follow functions like Twitter.
5. You can also leaves comments on every Meme posts.
6. Repost anyone's entry like the Reblog function in Tumblr.

Introduction to Augmented Reality

Need some thoughts of yours:
Imagine that you are reading IKEA's catalogue at home. You see a nice set of sofa and you would like to know more. You then take out your phone, point your camera on that page, your screen shows a 3D sofa and you can pan, zoom and rotate it with your fingers. You also see what colour options are available.

If you are selling something, would you market your product in this way?
